Two Fat Guys BBQ. Canton, OH

It seems that since moving here from Arizona it has been nearly impossible to find a BBQ shop that fits our tastes. I operated a food trailer and served Kansas City style BBQ for a couple years, and that is the taste that we prefer. Ketchup based sauces over the vinegar based Carolina style, Creamy Coleslaw, Dry Rubbed, Slow Smokes meats with that outer layer of crispy goodness. Finally we have found our spot. Two Fat Guys BBQ in Canton, OH offers great BBQ food at a great price. I have eaten BBQ all over the country and find Two Fat Guys to be in my top 3 BBQ joints.

I had the Pulled Pork platter with Fry's, Mac and Cheese, and Cornbread. The pork was perfectly cooked with a nice smoke ring, and was melt in your mouth tender. I had it with a mixture of the Medium and Hot BBQ sauces which enhanced the flavor of the meat with out coving it up. The fry's were crispy and great to dip in the sauce as well. One of the best parts was the cornbread that I saved for the end. It is served with a Honey Butter that is an excellent addition to a nice soft, flakey cornbread.

My wife had the Pulled Chicken sandwich with a Baked Potato and Cole Slaw. She is one of the pickiest people when it comes to slaw. It has to be creamy, sweet, test still retain its crispness. From the looks of here plate everything must have been great because it was gone before I had a chance to try any.

My older kids split one of the platters and chose the 1/3 slab of ribs with Mac and Cheese and Fry's. I was able to sneak in a bite of my son's ribs and was amazed. They were fall off the bone tender, but had just enough bite left in them to remind you that you were eating ribs, not pulled pork. The kids loved their food and could't get enough of the BBQ sauce. They even liked the medium sauce and the little bit of spice that it had. The Mac and Cheese was gone in minutes with the ribs right behind it.

The pricing was excellent. I hate eating out and not feeling like I was given a good value for my money. Overall my family of five all ate lunch including drinks and Banana Pudding for desert for under $40.00. For us that is a great deal as we can spend that at Denny's in no time and still leave feeling hungry. I would recommend Two Fat Guys BBQ to anyone looking for a BBQ place where you can get a good amount of food for your money.
